Hayley and the team have been wonderful throughout the process of us saying goodbye to our loved one.

Hayley has such a calming energy and was a comfort to the family both on the phone and in person. We had to arrange the ceremony over the Christmas period and even on non-working days she went above and beyond to answer our questions, queries or concerns quickly and with such a gentle demeanour, thank you Hayley, we really appreciate you and you should be proud of your team and the services you offer.

Communicating with the reception staff was also a breeze, they too answered any questions calmly and efficiently, so thank you to Beth and Amy in particular for that.

Lastly, we decided quite late on to have a family led service without a celebrant and Gary was wonderful in reassuring us that he’s be on hand during the ceremony in case we needed him, it was really appreciated to have such a grounding presence and it allowed us to relax into the ceremony, which went perfectly. Gary also came to the house to go through ceremony preferences early on in the organisation process and was very calm and respectful, so thank you very much, Gary.

I’m sure there are also team members working behind the scenes that we didn’t have direct contact with who also played a role in looking after, transporting and organising the whole process and to you we also, as a family, extend our thanks

To anyone in the York area looking for a funeral directors I would highly recommend Hayley Owens and the team, they handled everything with such grace and respect and flexibility. They’re exactly the team you would hope for when the time comes to honour and celebrate the life of a loved one.

I can highly recommend Hayley Owen having recently handled the funeral of my father.  Very compassionate, always accessible and took care of everything for us at a time when this was the last thing I wanted to think about.  The funeral. service would have made Dad proud.  A great family owned business.

Hayley Owen and her team were excellent from the start. They turned out in the late evening to collect my Dad and kept us informed all the way through. As they have a wealth of experience they were able to guide me and my family with the arrangements, always with options and all sensitively communicated. My wife passed unexpectedly and the whole process of making the funeral arrangements was a daunting prospect.

Fortunately, I chose to use the services of Hayley Owen and from the very first conversation over the phone with Patience, I was put at ease.

Our subsequent meetings and conversations were held with empathy and professionalism, but without feeling overbearing or patronising at any point. These conversations dealt with sensitive topics, but at all times, they were discussed respectfully and thoroughly.

The practicalities were explained clearly so I had a clear vision of how things would be on the day of the funeral and they worked out perfectly.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the services provided by Hayley Owen.

I just want to say thank you to Hayley Owen and especially Beth for helping me with my dads funeral, it was by far the worst time of my life but i was always made to feel comfortable and never felt like a pain with any last minute changes i needed to make. Everyone at Hayley Owens but in particular Beth have been amazing at this very difficult time. At a time of sadness and in shock with what had happened, Beth was very patient, nothing was too much trouble. They made you feel comfortable, they were there for support and whatever you decided was perfectly fine. I can't recommend everyone at Hayley Owens enough. You are in safe hands.
