The care and consideration we received was excellent. Everything was taken care of, the service, catering, flowers, everything. It made a difficult time so much easier. Geradine was so kind and helpful and Helen, the Celebrant, was amazing.

Our funeral director Gavin was second to none, he was patient, compassionate and we felt he went the extra mile. Losing my nan was the most difficult time and making arrangements was tough but Gavin and the team at Strathmore House handled  everything with the utmost dignity and care.

Elizabeth did a wonderful job, we could not have asked for anything more. Such kind staff, thoughtful and attentive. Brian was a very kind man who helped us though this sad time.

The only negative comment I have on behalf of myself and my family is the confusion over mums funeral plan. We were made to believe through confirmation from co op funeral care that mum did have a funeral plan. But 3 days prior to her funeral we were then told the funeral plan had been cancelled. This is currently an ongoing investigation.

The staff were genuinely sympathetic and helpful to me at this time as I was arranging a non religious funeral from 300 miles away. On a couple of occasions I phoned during office hours but there was no answer which was a bit disconcerting. On the day all went well. The service was held in the chapel at Strathmore House with refreshments upstairs afterwards - absolutely ideal for elderly/disabled mourners (there is a lift).

The care and attention we received was amazing. All the staff are a credit to your company. Nothing was a bother to them kept us updated on everything.
At such a sad time I felt happy that mam was safe in their care when we went to see mam she looked beautiful which brought comfort that she was out of pain.

On the passing of my father 2022 - direct cremation - I had to phone and find out if the cremation had taken place. Would have expected to have been contacted and told. As it was the first direct Cremation Elizabeth had organised, even though I expressly indicated I would pick up his ashes.
Now my mother has passed away - again first direct cremation for u/k can not remember her name. The same thing. I would pick up my mothers ashes - no call from the funeral home - I had to call and ask if the cremation had taken place.
No service element with this kind of arrangement.
Not happy that I have to ask - not informed on two occasions.

All the staff were amazing.They looked after us and guided us seamlessly through all the process.
There care and attention to detail was comforting at this awful time for us.
They went out of their way to unite my mum and dad over Christmas which eased some of our major concerns.
They have checked in with us by phone on a few occasions,I can't fault them.

There are not enough words to tell you of the amazing level of care and service we received as a family on the loss of our loved one. Gavin was professional and so wonderfully kind we will never forget the support we got from him and his team. He made some lovely touches which made everything so personal to us and we all felt that he took the time to get to know us our family and our needs. Nothing was too much trouble. This is exactly the care and support you need when feeling so overwhelmed in your grief.
