Standard Simple Funeral

Service includes:

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

What a fantastic Team....Issy, Janette, Jerry and the crew we cannot thank you all enough for your advice, respect and care you showed us at a very sad and difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble and you all made the whole thing flow as it should have done taking the pressure of us when needed and helped with your sound understanding of how others were coping/feeling at what was a very difficult time. You all gave more than 100% and it was noted not only by us but by the people in attendance at the actual funeral. Thank you.

Great service from start to finish. We had never arranged a funeral before so we didn't know where to start, but the staff were great, they explained everything step by step, really helpful and considerate.

At the worst time in your life you need as much support as you can get and that is exactly what the Musselburgh Co-op funeral team gave. They were extremely courteous, kind, mindful, helpful, flexible,friendly, respectful and considerate. They lead me through and advised me on everything that needed doing in a gentle way and in the end my father's funeral was a beautiful event that honoured him as the lovely man he was, just the way we wanted it. They are amazing people and great at their job.

Jeanette and Isy were excellent in helping me plan my friends funeral. Also the Humanist, Alan Ness, provided a moving tribute to my friend at the service. The funeral director Gerry, (I think) made sure everything went well on the day. All in all the Co-op in Musselburgh provided a superb service.
