Provision of a suitable coffin, fully lined and fitted
Provision of a Funeral Director to conduct the service
Provision of a motor hearse and four pallbearers
Hearse direct to Southampton, Wessex Vale, Romsey or Portchester Crematorium
Set up, receiving and collection of charitable donations on your behalf to charities of yours, or your loved one’s choice (as applicable)

Chapel visits any time - no restrictions

30-min service with a choice of local crematorium (times to be advised)

Waters & Sons Independent Funeral Directors Ltd is a family run funeral directors in Sholing, serving bereaved families with compassionate and personal support in their time of need.

They offer a range of traditional coffins and caskets but also provide personalised coffins with imagery of your choosing, alongside eco-friendly alternatives such as willow, wicker and bamboo.

Their fleet of comfortable funeral vehicles includes a traditional Ford Cardinal hearse and two Ford Dorchester limousines that can comfortably seat up to six. They can also provide options such as a silver Mercedes hearse and limousines, a horse and carriage, and a motorcycle hearse for something a bit different.

Waters & Sons pride themselves on those personal touches that make your loved ones funeral special. Whether it’s a dove release, a visual tribute, or fingerprint jewellery they will support you in any way they can.

Simon Waters, Alison Parlour and their dedicated team of staff are available during office hours to answer any queries you may have about arranging a funeral. There are two separate lounges for your comfort and privacy as you discuss arrangements for your loved one’s funeral service.

Their Sholing funeral home is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm with a 24-hour telephone service. They can also arrange weekend visits by appointment.

It’s not a lovely situation to be in arranging a funeral. But I can say that this family company are amazing and make it so easy and stress free. I would like to give a big thank you to all the team they have been fantastic and they went the extra mile as we had a HGV truck arranged to take my brother to the crematorium which they sorted all the arrangements out for us. Unfortunately there was a lack of communication because some of our emails weren't picked up. The online obituary gave details of the cremation which was private and the notice for donations was incorrect. MDA should have read MHA.

We went to Waters and Sons because of the wonderful care they gave our father in 2016. Again in 2023 they looked after our mother with the same care.

From visiting their office to emailing and ringing everything was handled with the upmost respect.

We as a family were looked after very well and especially on the funeral day itself, everything was dealt with perfectly and we had peace of mind at a very emotional time in our lives.

I can not thank David and all concerned at Waters and Sons enough for everything they did in making my sisters funeral go exactly as we wanted. They took the stress way by making every step easy for me and my brother in law. On the day of the funeral David was incredibly supportive. Nothing was hurried and it went just as it should. Thank you David and the team...you made a tough emotional day a beautiful day, one we won't forget.

Waters and Sons gave the most excellent service to us in a difficult time. Their compassion and personal touch gave us peace of mind. The day of the funeral all the gentlemen were professional and explained everything that would happen in detail. This allowed us to have a beautiful send-off. David was especially helpful and amazing. He gave such a personal touch that we felt so comfortable from the moment they came to our house to the final goodbye. I would happily and expressly recommend them without hesitation.
