Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

The actual funeral was amazing and beautiful but there was some miscommunication before hand regarding seeing rita in the Chapel of rest.

Caroline, at the Petts Wood branch provided an excellent service for my father, myself and my family on the death of my mother. Caroline was professional, knowledgeable and compassionate, guiding us through the process sensitively and supporting us in our grief.

The services offered by the Co-op are wide-ranging and of high quality - the respect shown by the staff at the funeral service, the recommended celebrant (Nancy), prompt responses to any questions and an open willingness to enable our wishes to be met. Thank you.

Add to that the positive remarks from several attendees about the way Robin Desmond led the service . It could not have gone better.
