Standard Simple Funeral

This is what Co-op Funeralcare offer as part of their Simple Funeral:

They will remove your loved one from their place of death into their care within a 50 mile radius
If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, they will remove your loved one into their care, out of hours, at no extra cost
They will prepare, care for and dress your loved one in a gown to match the interior of their Basic Coffin
Your loved one will rest in their mortuary facility, or if required, a private rest room in their funeral home
You’ll be able to visit your loved one during normal working hours at no additional charge
They will transport your loved one from the funeral home to the crematorium or burial site in a ceremonial vehicle of their choice
On the day of the funeral, a wheeled bier will be used or the family can bear the coffin
They will make all necessary arrangements for a dignified funeral
Your funeral director will be there at the funeral to support and guide you through the funeral

Julia at Wallington Co-op Funeral service could not have been more helpful and sympathetic considering this was the second time I had called in 6 months. First my mother and then my partner. Prior to the funeral, she calmly answered my questions and responded to emails by return. On the day the funeral team were great, performing their duties with dignity. An exemplary service by Julia and her team. Thank you. It made what could have been a stressful day go swimmingly.

It is so hard to write a review for such a sad occasion but my family and I were so impressed with the service Co-op provided from the minute we arranged a meeting with Julia at Wallington to go through the funeral arrangements to the time we were dropped home after the funeral. Every step of the way was dealt with so professionally and calmly. Thank you so much to everyone who was involved. My mum had a lovely sending off and it couldn’t have been done without you all.

It was the perfect day, in every way .
120 people came to Terry’s beautiful funeral.
The celebrant Heather, Terry the director and the driver were really empathetic. Julia organised it all so well.

Julia has been amazing. So caring and kind. The men who came to collect my husband from home were so compassionate and treated him with upmost dignity and care. Both the men and Julia listened to what our/my husbands wishes were and have followed them totally. I would recommend them completely. Julia made a devastating time a lot easier as she dealt with everything for us.Also my husband wanted direct cremation and to my surprise this cost a lot less with co-op funeralcare than the the ads on tv. Great company

We returned to the Co op to arrange my father's funeral as they had originally arranged my mother's funeral. The service we received from Julia, at the Wallington branch was experienced, efficient and both kind and sensitive.
I was very grateful to both Julia for helping me plan the arrangements and to Terry for managing the organisation of the day itself.
I would certainly recommend the Co op.
