From the first moment we called A W Lymn I was impressed with the care, understanding and professionalism of all concerned. Particular mention must go to Tracey at Stapleford who always found the time to deal with anything I put to her. On the day of my wife's funeral the turn out of the horses was immaculate even though it was raining at the time.
Debra was treated with the utmost respect whilst in their care and I, along with the rest of her family, am very happy to give A W Lymn a 5 star recommendation

Opened on 19th April 2021 Half Crown House on Derby Road is run by funeral arranger Tracey Sweeting-Rowe.
The new funeral home was originally an old bank and was ideal ‘blank canvas’ for a funeral home. It is now fully equipped with two chapels, onsite car park and an extended mortuary. The move follows the need for more space and easy customer access.
The fifth-generation family business first arrived in Stapleford in 2003 as part of the group purchase of the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Group, taking over six funeral homes. Previously located at Parker House on Church Street, the company has since gone above and beyond to help local families through every step of the funeral process, offering support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The office is open Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 5.00pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12.30 pm, but can be opened after office hours by appointment or you can speak with a funeral director 24 hours a day by calling the telephone number.
The branch serves all of Stapleford and its surrounding area including Bramcote, Chilwell, Sandiacre, Trowell and further afield.

You made something that was so incredibly emotional and filled with dread , feel a whole lot better and the day itself couldn’t of been any nicer under the circumstances.
The service and care was so dignified and beautiful and the flowers were absolutely stunning.

Tracey, you have been an absolute diamond! Myself and my brother found it so comforting to be able to sit with you (and have our lunch) whilst talking everything through and it was all made that little bit easier because of the relationship you had with Mum through all of life’s troubles that were thrown our way as a family.

From the initial telephone conversation, subsequent office meetings and mums funeral all the staff have been absolutely amazing.
