Mission Statement

Our mission

Across all cultures, one of the most stressful events in life is when a close family member dies. Nothing can prepare you for the death of a spouse, sibling, parent or child.

The emotional pain of a loved one dying is so great that it can score 100 out of 100 on the Holmes and Rahe Stress Scale.

The problem is that we as a society don’t know how to deal with death, and sometimes that means the bereaved don’t get the help they need.

Our mission is to help the bereaved

The funeral

In the immediate aftermath of a loved one’s death, the bereaved are often an emotional and physical wreck.

However, practical things need to be done and one of them is arranging the funeral. Most people have never arranged a funeral before, so it is a bewildering and daunting task.

Funeral Guide provides lots of free, easy-to-understand information about funerals to help the bereaved.

Working with funeral directors, Funeral Guide provides a range of free, innovative services to help the bereaved.
