Mum, our love and thoughts are with you today, your birthday. It would have been lovely to plan and celebrate your 70th birthday today, sadly it was not to be. Hope you have celebrated your birthday in your own way, with past family and friends.
Lots of love Dawn, Craig, Abbey & Finlay xx

Dianne was a lovely lady, I have so many happy memories mainly in Dawn and Craig's garden at summer barbecues , barmy summer days filled with fun and laughter, watching the kids doing their pre-prepared shows for us, then joining in with their dances and games. We shared so many memories of our childhoods and teenage years. I will miss her so much.

  • Arrhh yes, the Summer BBQ's! If only there could have been more! Great times, happy memories. You don't realise how much you miss someone until they are gone!

Nothing's ever quite the same without your gentle touch, and some days I just miss you, nan very, very much.
I realise how much you meant now that you're not here, but every lesson that you taught helps to keep you near.
You lived life to the fullest, nan, each day your full life through, and with your inspiration I promise I will too.<3 x

I awake each morning to start a new day
But the pain of losing you never goes away.
I go about the things I have to do
And as the hours pass I think again of you.

I want to call you and just hear your voice
Then I remember that I have no choice
For you are not there and now my heart cries
Just to see you again to tell you goodbye

To say Mum I love you and I always will
And hope that much of you, in me you’ve instilled.
The day that you left I just didn’t know
That you were going where I couldn’t go.

And now all my memories of you are so dear
But gosh, how I miss you and wish you were here.
Who now can hear me when I need to cry?
It so hard to tell you “Mum goodbye.”

Someday I know all will be well
And I’ll see you again with stories to tell
Of how you were missed and how we have grown
And how good it is to finally be home.

Until then my memories of you I’ll keep near
And I’ll pass them on to those who are dear.
I miss you Mum,

To Dianne
I remember all the good times
Childhood friends together
No-one can take those memories away
I will treasure them forever
And no matter what may happen
Or whatever my life brings
You’ll be there with me always
The wind beneath my wings

Our love and thoughts go with Terry, Dawn, Darren, Michael, Aunty Dorothy and all other members of Dianne's family. I am sure she will have safely managed the 3 Steps to Heaven xx

I was devestated when I heard the news, my mum had seen the obituary in the paper and informed me immediately.

Diane was a wonderful woman, and I was lucky enough to spend many
amazing times and holidays with the family.

Whenever I picture Dianne, I see her in her Royal Mail uniform after she'd finished her shift for the day.

I also remember sharing many random diet plans with her, as one of us was always on some kind of crazy diet!

My thoughts are with the family, and although you will be greatly missed, you've left a life time of happy memories for everyone to treasure. Rest in peace.

  • Thank you Joanne, what a lovely message. We did have many happy family times and holidays together. I was only looking at some of the photo's of us all a couple of weeks ago, particularly the Ibiza holiday photo's when we went with Barbara, Brian, Kevin and Tommo (I think it was Tommo anyway!) That was a great holiday, one of the best I have had!

We would like to thank everyone who attended mum's funeral, although it was a sad time it was good to catch up with family, friends, mum's friends from the Royal Mail and Kays and Lorraine, mum's oldest friend from school. It was lovely to see so many faces from years gone by.

We would also like to let you know that your donations on the day of the funeral raised £415.00. We would like to say a big thank you to all of you for raising this fantastic amount. Additionally I would like to say a special thank you to my daughter (Abbey) who insisted on donating £5 of her own pocket money to the collection. Your kind donation will be given to the Take Heart Appeal this week in memory of mum.

Thank you

Dawn and Darren
