The total amount donated at the funeral service held for Claire was £689.34.
This has been equally split between MIND, Cancer Research UK and Yorkshire Rose Dog Rescue charities. The sum of £229.78 has been forwarded through 'Just Giving' and the other two sums are to be forwarded directly to the charities, who we are sure will convey their thanks directly.

We knew each other professionally but it was on a particular day in theatre which was nerve racking for myself on a professional level that you left your mark. You not only watched over myself quietly, but also the people you were supposed to. I felt your reassurance and support without knowing you knew why. It was only after that someone mentioned they had told you of my apprehension and i never got to say thank you for the support you gave in such a little way that meant so much at a hard time for me. You had such a pleasant way with those you cared for, it will be missed even to those that don't have the pleasure to meet you. I wish we could learn why so we could stop this happening to those it shouldn't. Sleep in peace Claire xx

Both Ross and I had the great privilege of working with Claire, whilst also experiencing her professionalism, amazing communication, humour and skill as the parents of one of her patients. There are not many people an Anaesthetic Daddy and Recovery Nurse Mummy will let loose on their precious little ones. We quite rightly had no doubts handing our son's care over to Claire and couldn't have asked for better. The world has sadly lost a little of it's sparkle but the heavens have gained a true angel.  Goodnight and god bless you Claire. Rest in peace.

Dearest Claire, such a dear friend to many, we can't believe you're not here any more. I see your smiling face, but it's only now I realise how brave you were and what courage you had to face the world. And face it you did!! Despite your shyness and apprehension you had a go!! You had soooo many talents - You're the most caring doctor I know, sewing, baking, gardening, cycling, running (reluctantly), singing, partying (enthusiastically!) and being the best mum to daisy dog. X x We'll miss you Claire, when we see the daisies, drink that glass of Pinot Grigio and reach for the Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia Ice- cream. You bought happiness and laughter to many- and as we meet today to celebrate your life, I hope you'll know how special you we're and how much you meant to us,
Sleep tight love Cilla x x
