Phil, you were always so friendly and welcoming whenever I popped round for drinks, food or BBQs at the Nello residence! Jess and the girls are a credit to you, you were an amazing Dad to them, and you have made them so proud. You will always be in all of our thoughts. RIP xx

Uncle Phil, this is probably going to be the hardest message I ever write. You are the most wonderful person I've ever known, looking after me as if I was your own since I was young. You have been an incredible role model all my life - when I was naughty mum used to tell me I was coming to live with you because she knew how much we respected you.. We would never want to let Big Phil down! Our Kazza & the girls have been amazing, you would be so proud of how strong they are.
You welcomed Tom into your life and our family, building a fantastic relationship between the two of you. The amount of times I've rang him and he was somewhere with you.. Walking the dogs, fishing or just having a casual gin.

I'm going to miss you so much. So much I don't even realise it yet. It's strange going into your house & not hearing 'hiya gorge!' But we will keep your little sayings in our hearts forever. I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with you throughout it all, but know you will never be far away.
Not all superheroes wear capes!! That's you Uncle Phil. Love you forever xxx

Uncle Phil you know how much I adored you. We used to talk about what restaurants we had been to or where going to next. We both loved our exotic food and we're always the odd ones out ordering mad seafood. You spoiled me rotten taking me out for meals and having a great time. Then there were your monthly hair cuts. You followed me from salon to salon eventually coming to my shop this year. I remember you looking round telling me how proud you were of me. We'll now it's my turn. I'm so proud of you. Proud of how amazing you were as a father. You adored those 4 girls and they adored you. I'm proud of you as a husband. You and Karen were soul mates for life and you loved her until the day you died. Finally I'm proud of you as an uncle, when my dad died you were a rock to me and Luke. All of us cousins this week have amazing memories of you and we will cherish them forever. I'm proud of how you fought so hard to beat your illness and you fought until the very end. Good night and God
bless uncle Phil. I know your somewhere in heaven with my dad looking down on all of us. Lots of love Olivia X X X

Dad, where do I even start? The last few days seem so surreal. It feels like only yesterday you were out catching lobsters and taking Bailey on walks.

I miss you so much Dad. But I am just so lucky to of had such an amazing Dad who has left me with so many precious memories. Your positivity and strength never failed to amaze me. I know how proud you were of your girls, but Dad we are so much prouder of you.

You were my best friend, my role model and now your my hero.

Love you always,

Your little ray of sunshine xxxx

Phil I couldn't possibly put into words how I am feeling at the minute, everything still seems so surreal. At 16 when I first met you and Karen I would have had no idea that you would affect my life so much. I think the years spent with you where crucial and having such a fantastic role model with such strong family morals has played a big part in the man I have become. I couldn't thank you enough for all the things you have done for me and If I become even half the man, husband and father you where then I won't go far wrong. There is an old saying that God only takes the best and that's what you where. Going to miss you Phil, I promise I'll do my best to take care of Jess and the girls. Thanks for making me part of your family.

Tom X
