In loving memory of Denise Elizabeth Black who sadly passed away on 17th November 2015 at the age of 61 years,
after being diagnosed with alzheimers 12 nearly 13 years ago, each and every day after Denise's diagnosis has been a long hard battle for both Denise and her family.
The day denise passed away was also hers and Roberts 43rd wedding anniversary, Sadly leaving behind her childhood love Robert Black, Denise had five children with Robert.. One girl, their first born Jane, and then their four boys Jimi, Robbie, Kevin & Matthew who all went on to giving Denise thirteen grandchildren. an 6 great gran children
Denise was a loving caring housewife, mother, grandmother and friend. Denise worked most of her life up until getting her cruel disease. For those who knew denise before and after her disease would know how much of an inspiration she was and how kind, thoughtful, respectful and happy denise truly was, before the illness Denise would care for elderly women in her own home and look after her grandchildren with Robert after work. After denise got her illness things changed drastically, she could no longer remember her loved ones, or where she needed to go or who she was going to see. or even why she needed to see them. Denise became more and more confused as the days, weeks and months went on, leading to the point where denise could no longer remember how to walk, talk or function, and eventually eat or drink.. Denise became fully dependant on others for every aspect of her life. Denise's husband Robert, and Daughter Jane and close friend Melissa cared for Denise for many many years, they fed her, cleaned her, loved her, reminded her and mainly done nothing but their best for her.
At the near end of Denise's journey she received support from a free charity called Marie Curie an saint marys hospice with out this support denise wouldnt of been able to have stayed at home till the end we would love to give some money back to the charitys who made it possible
