Denis never failed to make me smile, his sense of humour guranteed a giggle too! He had so many daft sayings & rhymes & would tease the kids some what rotten & fill them with useless information but they loved it & so did I. He would do anything for us whatever the job big or small he was there to help! I'm so proud to say he was my father in law & i love him dearly xx

I'm pretty sure Denis made me laugh or smile every time I visited, & on the few occasions that he didn't, the reliant robin was always good for a giggle. I remember one winter , Steve was driving us somewhere after it had been snowing & he started driving his car into the centre of the road slightly, when I asked what the hell he was doing, he said "I'm clearing a path for Dads car in case he comes this way later " :-)
I'm so sorry that I can't be there for the funeral, my thoughts will be with all the family on the day
