Eddie and Beryl have always been a big part of our lives since 1973. Edd and Beryl were always there for us thro thick and thin. Ed's zany sense of humour disguised a heart of gold. His "lovely lady" will miss him so much as will the McMellons. We shall miss you very much XX

I always thought of Eddie as my big brother while he was my best man. I think I learned more about being a man as well as a human being from him than any other influence in my life. We joked recently about which one of us would be the pathfinder and he has surprised me as I expected to greet him. I will miss his wisdom, advice and wit, all of which I still benefitted from. Soldier.

I reckon I learned more about being a man and a human being from my uncle than any other influence in my life. Eddie was more like a brother than an uncle and he was my best man in fact. We joked recently about which one of us would be the pathfinder and I take comfort knowing that I shall be with him sooner than later. I'll miss your wisdom, advice and wit Ed. soldier.
