It was an honour to be part of such a fitting send-off yesterday - the sheer numbers demonstrated just how much you meant to so many people. I don't think any of us have come to terms with the fact that we will never have the pleasure of sharing your company again. God bless you, Saint Martyn.

Will miss you mate. Will miss our hour long phone/FaceTime chats; watching footie, cricket, rugby together and our great lads trips away. Will even miss your ridiculously long phone vetting system, you taking the mickey out of my driving and you giggling like a girl when showing me the video/ photos you took of me snoring on the saints away coach. RIP mate.

I met Martyn over 20 years ago in Customs & Excise and worked in many teams with him right up to his retirement. He took me under his wing and became firm friends, he was kind, supportive and someone who would always listen and offer advice, I used to call him my work dad. I used to meet him and other retired colleagues for lovely lunches and loved catching up, he was great company in and outside of work. He will be l missed so much. RIP xxx

Met you at Bellemoor, shared a few classes,and then we'd play football at weekends on the Sports Centre or listen to some groovy tunes at your parents house. Went to the 1976 FA Cup Final with you in your Dad's taxi and stood with you on The Milton a great many times. A pleasure to have been in your company.
