In loving memory of Stephen John Darke who sadly passed away on Sunday 7th August 2016.
Born on the 25th May 1947 in Guildford to Alma and Sydney Darke, the eldest of 5 boys.
Stephen, husband to beloved wife Ann for 49 years, father to Michael, Richard and Nicola and grandfather to Georgia, Joshua, Martha and Jessica who will all sorely miss him and his special sense of humour.
After leaving school Stephen worked a variety of jobs but on retirement he wanted a bit of sunshine to enjoy his retirement. Sunny Cyprus was his desired destination where he and Ann have enjoyed many years making lots of new friends and family holidays enjoyed by all.
He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends, new and old.

Thinking of you all at this sad time. Ann & Steve were the best neighbours we could have wished for in Cyprus. We have very fond memories of Steve pottering about in his garden in Cyprus, always making or doing something and always offering to help - What you didn't have in that shed eh Steve?
Will miss the Raki spritzers on the terrace and your funny stories.
You were taken too soon and we will miss you dearly.

Tony,my wife and I, we are from Holland. We bought a house in N.-Cyprus in June 2008 and I picked up the keys in july. When I wanted to play golf for the first time on Korineum, although it was 6 o´clock
in the morning ( not Stephen's favourite time) I was too late for the start on hole 1. Stephen, who saw I was searching for that first hole, although he did not know who I was, invited me generously to join him with the start on the 10th hole. Ever since that he became my best friend. We understood each other so well. Our mutual humour. appreciating each others way of living. Ann, Stephen, Tony and I
the dinners and drinks in the restaurants together, we enjoyed it so much. We really loved that man
and we are sure, that the sun in Bahçeli will not shine so bright in the future.

Where have the last 50 years gone Stephen? We will really miss you and all the banter we shared. Cyprus will never be the same again with out you. It was our adventure, the four of us. Thankfully you had 8 years living the dream there. It should have been more. With all our love Anne and David.

We will always cherish all the happy memories we all shard in Cyprus. Our Meals out, our Quizzes (The Lemons), and best of all your beloved Pool nights, what a right laugh we all had. Sleep tight our Friend.
