In loving memory of Michael O'Brien JP who sadly passed away on 8th September 2016, aged 72 years after a long illness bravely borne. A much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all.

Following the service a private interment for family and close friends will take place.

Family flowers only but donations, if desired, for the Friends of Wisdom Hospice or The Arethusa Old Boys Association may be sent c/o John Weir Funeral Directors. Donations for the hospice may also be made online via

Mike was a former shipmates at HMS MERCURY and best man at my wedding in 1968. Sadly we lost touch but, I will always remember the dark haired handsome man that stood beside me that day. My condolences to Sheila and the family.
