In loving memory of Robert Jesse Woolmer who sadly passed away on 4th October 2016

Bob was born on 7th June 1925 ,in Lewes, one of 6 children.
He met his wife Pam at the Halling Institute dance in 1949 he was a shy man and insisted on bringing a friend along to their first few dates.
He was called up to join the air force and although requested a posting in West Malling he was sent to Egypt, He had many stories to tell of his time there.

He married his sweetheart Pam on 22nd December 1951 and there began 65 years of a family life filled with love and laughter. Bob worked at CAV for a number of years and then with 5 others started their own business called Trutools. I still remember the smell of the factory now. He was very proud of his work but was even prouder of his house garden and most of all his family. He was a perfectionist and decorating a room could take years ( much to Mums annoyance)
He was an ardent footballer and played for Cuxton for many years, after this he became a referee, I remember watching many matches where supporters would be singing abusive songs to him and I would proudly declare that "he's my Dad "Mum would have the car running at the end of the game for a quick getaway

Passionate about Arsenal for his whole life, when he stopped refereeing he made sure him and Mum had season tickets and they rarely missed a game, things would often fly across the room at home whilst watching games on TV.

Bob had 4 children Peter, Philip, Janet and Anne , 3 Grandchildren, Amy, Sam and Hazel and 2 Great Grandchildren Callum and Jack , his family bought him the greatest pleasure.
Holidays were a must and with the extended family we would have an annual Butlins outing , at least 25 of us filling the rows of Chalets lines, practical jokes being played on everyone. We also had many holidays abroad as a family and I have fond memories of our times in foreign countries
He was well known for his laugh and as his hearing diminished he often laughed at the most inappropriate things but
no one cared , we just loved the sound of that laugh.
There is so much more I could write about my Dad who was a hard working ,happy, caring man ,loved by all who knew him.
It breaks my heart to know I will never again see him in his chair by his swimming pool ,the place he loved the most. He will be forever in our hearts and I will miss him more than I can say
Thank you Dad for making my life so full of love and laughter
