In loving memory of Eric Martin Coward who sadly passed away on 24th November 2016

I have known Marty for some 10 years or more from working at Maghull Town Hall to drinking in various pubs around Maghull as we search for a good pint and quite surroundings. He will be missed by his mates who regularly had to speak up so that he could hear and pay attention when he spoke. Always had a tale to tell about old Maghull, Everton, working at Fiddlers Ferry or being in the Army.

We will miss you Marty.

I drank with Marty and others over the last few years and enjoyed his company and he frequently told us he did ours. His stories of old Maghull and the one bomb that fell on the meadows park along with other stories are etched into out memories.

Will be sadly missed

I drank with Marty as we knew him for many years in the Red House, The Great Mogull, Weatherspoons and just recently, within the last six weeks, the Hare and Hounds. Regularly came with us to Freshfield to see an old buddy from the town hall dinking days, Joe and they swooped stories of their various ailments. He always had us laughing with his stories of his childhood in Maghull and his days in the armed services.

Will be sadly missed.

I only got to really know Marty since his retirement but shared a few pints and storys on a regular basis over the years. Saw a lot less of him over the past couple of years as his illness took hold but he would suddenly appear for a couple of weeks to throw in his anecdotes about Everton! Will be sadly missed but remembered fondly.
