My darling Richard, my best friend, my rock, my husband I miss you so much, I find it so hard to put in to words how I feel. Utter devastation is what is left now you have gone. I stumble through each day not really believing that I will never see or hear you again. All I can do is try to find comfort in what you gave me. We shared 35 years of marriage and if anyone asked would I do it again I can honestly say yes I would, warts and all. In truth I can say we were a feisty couple but our love ran deep and we have two gorgeous children Mark and Katie and three wonderful grandchildren William, Evelyn and Madeleine to prove it. I don't know how I am going to carry on without you but I must and I will take comfort from our wonderful family, knowing that is what you would want me to do.

Richard THANK YOU for choosing me to share your life with, mine was enriched by your choice. Your death has left me heartache that no one can ever heal but your love leaves a memory that no one can ever steal. Night night sweetheart. See you soon with Moo, Todd and Molly. Love you with all my heart, Jules xxxx

We will never forget the fun and laughter we shared in Goa. Special memories of a boat trip and of you laundering the Indian money in the pool.

Uncle Richard,

There really are no word to describe the love everyone has for you and how much you will be missed!

I will never forgot the grumpy front you put on to cover your loving and caring personality! All the memories we had on holiday with Auntie Julie, Mum and Dad, and also up north when visiting.

Heaven truly has gained another angel!
We will all miss you lots!
Lots of love, sleep tight!
Megan xx

Richard……. Where do we begin? We met at a stable, not as far away as Bethlehem though. The wives and children met through their love of horses. Eventually this led to a friendship over the years. When Sue and I looked back over the time that we knew you we had some magical times. The Rod Stewart gig, party nights with Who’s in the bag (a little bit of cheating but never from you), Masquerading as the Village People and dressing up as ‘Ladies’.
We had some really good nights, neither of us would have missed them for the world. I hope to take on the mantle as the grumpy old git of the group. We will all miss you. You were a true friend.
