Every Thursday when I was 6
Walking up to the shop hand in hand to get the fish and chips,
Stopping over for the weekend and allowed to stay up late
Playing cards with grandma and grandad that was just so great,
Walking across the feast ground together all wrapped up warm
Listening to her stories from years gone by since now till the day she was born,
Both grandma and grandad babysitting and there was me pushing mum out the door
Then playing games till half past 10, never once did I get bored,
No one could ever love my grandma quite the way I do
But I know she is now with grandad always looking down on me this much is true.
