In loving memory of Mary Elizabeth Marks who sadly passed away on 23rd December 2016 six days short of her 91st Birthday. Mary will be sadly missed by her devoted family Daughter Linda, Son Tony, grandchildren Leah, Mark, Chelsea and Harry. As well as Great-Grand children Charlotte, Louis, Joshua, Luke, Zachary, Sadie & Great-Grandchildren Frankee & Elsie. Additionally by all her close friends and extended family. Today 29th would have been Mary's 91st Birthday and we are holding a small family gathering in her memory to celebrate her long and remarkable life. She was an inspirational woman of her generation and she has been a great role model to her family who have learned a great deal from her strength of character over the years and what it means to work hard for what you need for your family. A provider, generous and kind lady who deserved the very best in return which we as a family tried to do for her until we could do no more. Mary was diagnosed with lung cancer some three months ago with a secondary cancer detected we knew that she only had months remaining of her wonderful life. Close family cared for her at home together with the help of St Christopher's Hospice carers who were the most amazing angels, Margo, Judith, Bibi and Alice in particular were there throughout caring for her and supporting the family. She will be sorely missed. On the day of her funeral Mary will be leaving from her daughter Linda's in Sidcup where she spent may happy times and memories during her lifetime. If you need to know the address please contact the family directly or via this website. If you would like to send flowers we are using Bloxhams Florist, Half Way Street, Sidcup or alternatively Donations to St Christopher's would be appreciated. Many thanks

Today we say our final goodbye to Mary and my love goes out to the family. Knowing Mary through her granddaughter Leah, I saw a strong head of the family who taught her children/grandchildren to be independent, to challenge the status quo, to be kind, inclusive and to enjoy life. What an amazing woman who I know was as proud of her family as they are of her. Love and Light Mary x

I'm so sad to hear of Mary's passing. I know how important & loved she was by all the family. I wanted to come to the funeral but I will be in Cornwall but I would have very much liked to say goodbye to this wonderful lady. Having grown up with Leah & spent time staying in Linda's home I knew Mary well. One of the things I remember is how she was always so well presented, always smartly dressed & looking her best. I know how much she will be sorely missed & my love is sent to all the Family, especially Linda, Leah & Mark. RIP

Mary my neighbour, would do anything to help others including myself and my family. She was the first neighbour to make us feel welcome 24 years ago and was always on the look out to protect our home. Mary was a fine lady who will be sorely missed, Court Farm Road just won't be the same without her.

Dear auntie Mary, remembering you as a vivacious young women who loved life and more recently at Linda's family days during the summer months. In particular your impeccable dress sense and the way you looked younger than your years all made you the Mary we knew and loved.
