We got to know Joan during our visits to Southampton over the past several years. Even though we met her when she was well into her 80s she was seemingly always busy with things around the house and in the yard. She was very pleasant and a joy to just sit and have a quiet conversation. A fine women... I'm sure she will be missed by John, Karen, Laura and James...

Jean & Girls Turpin donated £30 in memory of Joan

Fond memories of growing up together, dancing at the Leas Cliff Hall during the war, of your lovely sense of humour, of all your kindness to my mum Ciss and happy memories of our shared history. We always loved staying with you in Southampton and I remember our long country walks in Hawkinge with much fondness.
Our love and condolences to the family, Sweet Dreams Joan.
Love Jean, Lorna, Lynn, June & family X
