In loving memory of Margaret Langmaid who sadly passed away on 13th February 2017. Margaret was a lovely woman and mother to three children, Norma Judith and Carole. She was a caring Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a window to her late husband Ray Langmaid who she will now be dancing away with. She was a lively, funny and special lady. She loved the carers who kindly looked after her during her stay in Panel Croft Village.

Well Nanny Margaret today is the day we lay you to rest 89 years of young and was still as comical and witty as I remember growing up! I often wondered where my wit and sense of humour oh and my big boobs lol came from yep all from you! I will never not be able to hear the lovely Lancashire accent when you addressed me as "Our Dawn" and how delighted you were when I borned you a Great~Grandson Joel he loved his Nanny Margaret as did my Jordanne, Destinee & Little Ada I just wish now we would have had a closer relationship over the latter years but you always knew you were loved and vica versa. And even on your last day of life you made me feel special taking your last breath as I walked through the door on the exact day I took my first breath so I will treasure that along with the memories I have of you. Goodnight beautiful sleep tight till we meet again get the tia maria ready <3 Love You Nanny Margaret x

Poem for my Nan - by Jason x

'Get down ya little bleeder' she used to say,
On my visits to Eastbourne on a sunny day.

She would cook you full English at six am,
And Benji boy would be causing absolute mayhem.

She would always make you welcome, in her welcoming way
Which made you comfortable and wanting to stay.

She had a furbie which made her laugh, sat by her chair,
And a cuckoo clock that would go off early and be a nightmare.
cos the walls in her bungalow were pretty thin
And occasionally you would want a lie in .

But she made up for it with fish and chips bought at the marina,
which was like a reward for coming and seeing her.

Further back at the age of 3,
I remember her cooking findus crispy pancakes for tea,
At wedgewood house in a high rise flat, I think ,
Next to the cent pub where ray liked a drink.

I also remember going to 195 in chelmsley wood,
With numerous memories - all of them good.
I loved it there as I lived there a while,
And still have the memories that make me smile.
One particular time I remember going over to see,
A new film came out and it was called ET.
I was scared and literally shit my pants,
But nan soon made me laugh as she went off on one of her rants,
Ray had come back legless and pissed as a newt,
I'm not drunk at all he would relentlessly refute .

She loved her grandchildren and not just mine,
As she talked on her visits about about them all the time.
My memories are strong of Jacob and Tia,
At her flat in Panel Croft going to see her,
To be honest I wish I could have gone more,
But I was safe in the knowledge that others would regularly knock on her door.

Nanny Margaret always would say - 'How's Tia getting on at school' or 'Jakey Pakey' today ?
In her strong northern accent which was always her way.

She's no longer here but I have the memories deep in my heart, as its time to say bye and time to part...
But I will visit you there as much as I can ,
Cos you have a part of me ...
You are always my nan.

Love Jason x

We have kept you going from the time you had that awful stroke mom on a daily basis we were there caring for your every need . We had some struggles to start but we always found a way. We managed to get you where ever you wanted to go always with your lippy on hair done nails painted jewlery on and a glitter top. Lol We never went out without having our latter coffee. I will always always sit and think of you when ever I drink my lattee coffee . We laughed together we cried together Judy could always pull you round no matter how ill you was. I never thought a day would come when you'd be gone. To loose ones mother to loose the Queen of the family, to loose the cheek the laugh the smile the sharp tongue the humour the kindness and love ❤️ of a mother I know how much you appreciated and loved me mom you told me many many time. I loved and appreciate all that you did for us as children the struggles you had the times you went without. I loved taking care of you in return hard tho it was to watch you struggle loosing your independance from a stroke. I found the dementure harder we would laugh and we had our little sayings away with the fairys. You knew then it was just a little dream. You accepted that all with grace and dignity. Always the lady your mom and dad my nanny and grandad will be waiting for you jumping for joy to have thier daughter in heaven with them I am so gelous you will be in a beautiful kind loving place where everyone is pure and loving. From the day you found out or should I said sussed I was about to become part of your family at Abi's christening, you've made me very welcome and treated me as a son and I saw you as my mom. And after 23 years nothing changed. If you had anything you would give it and never ask for anything in return . you've never been any trouble to me , your sharp wit and sometimes cutting tongue always made me laugh and still does . You may be gone now and deep down I know your in a better place but I do miss you . You may be gone but no one can take those wonderful memories from me . I could never have asked for a better mother in law but for me your just mom . love you always
PS .It will be fish and chip and a trifle on your anniversary's for me until we meet again xxx
