Fred was a very respected person in the village, I remember Fred as the caretaker at Overton school he was liked by all the pupils and staff at the School. Fred later became my father-in-law, he was very kind to me and I had a great deal of respect to him, this remained the same when my marriage broke up, Fred was always kind to me and my New wife and our children.
I am very proud of the way Craig and Luke have dealt with the loss of Fred and the way that they have organised Fred's funeral. Rest in peace.

Very Happy Memories of my childhood of Mr Ralph being caretaker of my school such a happy friendly chap made my time at school so happy. Fred as I knew him once I was a grown up was a devoted father and Grandfather who who so proud of his Grandsons. Always had a hello when walking down from the school either pushing his bike or walking his little dog. Will be sadly missed by the community of Overton. I'm sure people will agree he was a true old school gent.
