In loving memory of Matthew Paul Smith who sadly passed away on 17th May 2017. Matt was 43.
Son to Gordon & Susan, brother to Tracey. An uncle to nieces Vicky & Jodie. A great uncle to Parker-James.

Matthew was diagnosed in February 2016 with a brain tumour / glioblastomas grade 4. He had a de-bulking of the tumour and went for 6 weeks of radiotherapy & chemotherapy.

Matt never complained or not once moaned about pain etc. Towards the end Matt had a seizure and went into Mary Stevens hospice for a few weeks. He then decided he needed to be at home on the 13th May. He quickly started to deteriorate on the early hours of Wednesday 17th may where he peacefully passed away.

Matt was a very kind, generous person. He had such a kind loving heart. The family are heart broken and although we knew the outcome over a year ago, it does not make it easier.

The funeral will take place on 30th may at Stourbridge crematorium at 10.20am. The wake will be at Cradley Heath liberal club. Upper high street. Cradley Heath. All welcome.
Family flowers only. Donations to Brain tumour charity or Macmillan.
