Smaragda Bessey (12 Dec 1926 - 10 Jun 2017)

In loving memory of Smaragda Jean Bessey who sadly passed away on 10th June 2017.
Born in 1926 in Piraeus Greece and moved to this country with her younger sister in the late 1940's. Initially settling in the Midlands she had one daughter,Marina. After spending some years in the Midlands she decided to move to East anglia to be nearer her daughter and newly born grandson and lived there until the early 1980's when she decided to move back to her home country Greece for a few years before returning to England towards the end of the decade. Loving wife to John Bessey, the two enjoyed retirement to its fullest until John passed away in 2015. Generous to a fault,stubborn like a mule,but above all a very loving very dedicated very wise wife,mother,aunt,grandmother and great grandmother to a loving family that will all miss her greatly.
