We forgot to mention on this page, for anyone attending the funeral, because Dad was anything but conventional, bright colours are encouraged at the funeral if you want to wear them - black is fine as well though, please just wear what you feel comfortable in.

We spent many happy days together my dearest friend, here in Teignmouth or rummaging through charity shops in St. Thomas, having long discussions but never arguments. You were funny, wise and incredibly kind and warm hearted. You were much loved and will be so very much missed by me and all who had the privilege of knowing you.

Carls... The man who I appreciate, look up at, just love. He always found time to answer me, and his words were always kind, clever and positive just like he was. He taught me the correct language, shared photoes of his cosy garden. He told me interesting stories and jokes. We congratulated each other to our birthdays... I have always felt closeness and trust between us. Dear Carls! I miss you. But... Rest in peace.
