Tina Maria Simms (Passed away 14 Aug 2017)

In loving memory of Tina Maria Simms who sadly passed away on 14th August 2017.
Tina was the beloved wife of Derek, a loving mum to Marie & Graham and Nonna to her 4 grandchild, Ben, Sofia, Lewis & Isaac.
Tina was born in Italy and despite all her illnesses and knock backs over the years her Italian spirit kept her going. She was a true fighter. In 2004 she began kidney dialysis where her friendship with the Renal Unit in GWH, Swindon began. In May 2017 she was given the most amazing gift, she received a kidney transplant. We were overjoyed at this news. Unfortunately, our excitement was not to last long as a week after being discharged from her transplant she got a bug and was admitted back to hospital. She was never to return home. Nine weeks after being admitted she sadly lost her battle and died peacefully surrounded by her family. She was an amazing woman and her personality would still come through. She was the matriarch of our family, the glue that kept our strong family united and she will be truly missed. Fly high Tina, may you finally be pain free and able to rest in peace.
Her funeral will take place on Wednesday 6th Sept at Kingsdown crematorium, Swindon. We will then goto the Merlin Pub to raise a glass to our special angel.
