In loving memory of (Jim) James Fagan who sadly passed away on 20th August 2017, aged 78 years, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

A truly kind and generous man who would have done anything to help anyone. He will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends, especially Ellen, Maria, John, Paul, Mark, Katie, and his Grandchildren Harry, Hannah, Ciara and Jude.

Funeral at St Joseph’s Church on Tuesday 29th August at 1.15pm.

Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to St. Michael's Hospice c/o Spencer & Peyton Family-Run Funeral Directors. Tel: 01256 323165.

St Michaels's hospice is a local charity that Jim chose to support in his lifetime. With help from the wonderful St Michael's "hospice at home" team he was able to die at home, surrounded by his family, as he wished.

Thank you to all who attended Dad's funeral on Tuesday and you kind donations to St Michael's hospice. (Collection - £300). We were comforted to see so many people, and to hear your memories of our Dad too.

I will miss Jim dearly. Not only was Jim a terrifically experienced and knowledgeable work colleague, but he was also a true friend and inspiration. Jim was an immense character, who had time for everyone, with the patients of a saint even during the most challenging of circumstances. When the going was tough, Jim’s irrepressible sense of humour would shine through. Jim had a gift of being able to bring a smile to every face and at all levels.
Tea break with Jim was a chance for all to share in his great wisdom. A relaxing time would be had, whilst minds were suitably enlightened. A craftsman who took pride in his work with a keen eye for detail, examples of his fine work stood out and can be seen in so many places as testimony to a wonderful man.

We will never forget Jim.

From Matt, Gemma, Molly and Liberty

Such a kind gentleman....nothing was ever too much for him and whenever he was needed he would be there. Thank you Jim for all those times you came to our rescue. Even once on Christmas Eve when the element went on our cooker and we were due to cook for family the next day. I think that even made him late for his first meeting with his youngest grandchild Jude.
You will be missed by us and so many others. With love Alanda, Paul & Jake xxx
