In loving memory of David Wright who sadly passed away on 14th September 2017

Loving and cherished memories of Dave Wright, a kind and loving man whose love for his family was at the heart of everything he ever did.

He will be in our hearts always, close to us forever and the memory of him will bring us comfort every day.

I had the pleasure of working along side Dave as I started work with him at East Midlands tool hire in Alfreton in 1989 at the age of 19! He was a very happy character and had a joke for us every single morning as we enjoyed laughs and a cuppa! He contributed to what I know now and would never see anyone stuck he was always there to help you.Sorry i could not attend as I was away with my family.
Oh the hours we spent with curly’s Wise old tales and the famous putty gun as we where altering the shop 😂.
Working as a team with Dave ,Chris ,Eugene ,Elias (curly) and Stella was one of the best experiences I have had in my working career so Dave although a little late THANK YOU for being you and rest in peece my friend
Sending our love to your family
Paul ,Samantha Harvey ,Bradley,Grace ,Millie and Liam

Dave, a wonderful brother in law who is going to be missed. Sturdy, reliable and never complained. Our grandchildren adored you Dave and I know you used to look forward to their visits even when they used to run wild! We share some lovely memories, who can forget the new years eve parties where you entertained our children when they were young always making them laugh. We shall never forgot Henry the 8th! What a wonderful man who cared so much about all his family. You are an example to us all. How brave you have been.

I have so many fond memories of Dave as I was growing up. I can still picture him sitting behind his paper rolling his eyes at mine and Tez's latest antics and ridiculous schemes. He was a wonderful man who wanted to give his family the best he could and who worked tirelessly to do so. His strength, dignity and bravery throughout his battle with cancer are a reminder to us all to make the most of every precious moment we have. Sending love to you all. Xx

When I worked as a buyer for JE about 15 years ago I had allot of interaction with Dave, he
was always more than helpful. He had a jolly outlook and you could share a joke with him on the phone or in the Hire shop. Thoughts are with his family and friends RIP Dave.

I walked in to Derbyshire Hire sometime around 1982, looking for a job. I had 5 minutes with Dave, he asked me if I could drive , if I knew one end of a power tool from the other, could I make tea. 3 yes's and he said the jobs yours, or words to that effect. We had some great years throughout the early 80's, loads of laughs. I moved on to persue my career in the music trade and thankfully, Dave and I kept in touch. Infrequently, but nevertheless, often reminiscing about our years together at DHS. Rest in peace, mate. Deepest condolences to the rest of your loving family.

So sad to hear, a fine man and a cherished cousin. My best wishes to you all at a time like this. Celebrate his memory though, I know he would prefer it to tears and the wringing of hands. Love to you all.

Dave you will be sadly missed, a pleasure and privilege it has been to have you as a brother in law, but also a work mate. You were also a much loved Uncle to Ben and Sarah, and latterly God Father to Alfie James..As the song says ' it's been a long day without you my friend, but I'll tell you all about it when I see you again'
