In loving memory of Feni Lee who sadly passed away on 17th September 2017...
Faynie was born with bechettes syndrome this is a very rare blood disorder which affects the immune system which makes it hard to fight infections. Faynie was diagnosed with bechettes when she was 15 after many years of poor health it was a relief to finally no what was wrong with her.
At that time we didnt no just what bechettes was all about as it was so rare most drs had never heard of it being only 1000 known cases of this in the whole world at the time of diagnosis. Faynies life was constant hospital visits including great ormond street moorfields guys st thomas the royal london and many more. Being pulled about by drs wasnt very nice for her but she never complained. We were among the first to do fundraising for the wishing well appeal at gosh where her name remains on the role of honours book for being the 3rd person in this country to have eye laser surgery and the youngest. She was given sight for the first time age 17 months and thats when she really came out of her shell n there was no stopping her if we told faynie to go left she would go rite she never would do as she was told. She was lively as a child i called her my little bird cos thats what she reminded me of MAGPIE couldnt resist anything sparkly n shiney. Faynie leaves 4 children chelsea charlie danny and harry. 18 months ago we were told faynie was in stage 4 of the bechettes this caused her a lot of discomfort n sleepless nights she was suffering everyday and had begun doing things completely out of character for her. In april this year i got a call from qe hospital faynie was on a life support machine she had been sat up in the bed laughing n joking just 30 minutes before, she went down hill fast.we was told 2 hours n it would all be over. We prayed harder than ever and understood what fear meant for the first time in our life. Then by miracle she came through she wasnt the same girl that she had been before. She was suffering once more we were all left traumatised. She went home after 3 wks then that call came again and as before she was back on ventilator this time she didnt wake up the bachettes went through her body so fast and on 17th september she went to sleep for the last time we was all there with her.
Faynies passing has left a void that will never be filled the shock and disbelief is immense we or heartbroken beyond words. This cruel illness has no cure we or asking anyone if you can donate to the bechettes society we can help with the continuos research of this awful thing even if we can make people aware or help at least one person then it wont have been for nothing and we can keep her memory alive. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please do leave a message share a memory and post a picture the memory book will be given to faynies 4 children at a later date god bless you all and thank you for being part of faynies life xxx
