In loving memory of Maureen Myers who sadly passed away on 25th September 2017. Mum first met dad when she was 13 years old. When she would go to Faversham with her family during the holidays and work at the hop farms, they started as friends but in the end fell in love and was married on the 1st August 1959. She had 3 children Antoinette, Wendy and Paul.Mum had 2 sisters Beryl and Shirley and a brother Bernard and they all grew up together with their mum and dad in chatham where she went to the local schools. After they got married they lived on a working farm, Mum hated the cockeral and would make dad search the bed every night looking for spiders. They moved to Weeds Wood where they started a family. Mum loved to knit and would make all kinds of clothing for us and our toys, she would look after the boys next door to earn some extra money. When we moved to Lordswood after a time mum got a cleaning job in Dargets Road school and she ended up being the caretakerof the school and was there for a very long time until she had her accident and was retired from work . After that mum would look after the grandchildren and take them to school and have them during the holidays. She loved doing her garden and taking the dog and the kids for walks in the woods and the park. She was very well known and liked by the friends and people in the neighbourhood. Mum and dad would take us to the beach when we was kids and have picnics in the woods on the way home. She would love to play board games with the grandchildren Fruststration being her favorite. When we where kids mum would take us for walks around the country roads picking dandelions for our guinea pigs, she loved to make big stews with lots of dumplings which everyone loved. Mum loved music and opera was her favorite andwas a big fan of Mario Lanza, she loved watching musicals. Dad tried to teach mum to drive but that was a no no from the start but we all had a laugh about it. she loved having her hair done once a week for her pampering and to look nice.

Hi mum. it's been a while sense I last wrote and let you know what's been going on. Well we all miss you and dad so much and at times when you feel the need to just have a chat with you both on the phone and remember that you cant do that anymore but we know that we can just talk away and know that you are both there listening and watching over us all. we have got the house on the market now and although it will be very sad to see it go none of us felt like we could ever buy it as it would never feel like ours but always yours and dads and our home when we were kids. the thing is all those memories you can take with you where ever we go. we all really hope that both you and dad are very happy and peaceful and no more pain where you are getting together with all your families. I wont leave it to long before I write again. so bye for now and love you xx

Hi mum. Well i know that both you and dad are together and perhaps starting out on your new adventures. Christmas wasn't the same because both you and dad are no longer here but we thought about you both and talked to you as if you were still here which we know that you are close by watching over us all with dad. its very cold and wet here now and a bit of snow but no where like we used to have it when we were kids. we miss you so much but knowing that both you and dad are together makes us happy as you belong together through your love for each other.
