In loving memory of Keith Lawrence Mitchell-Briant who sadly passed away on 11th October 2017.

Family flowers only please, but donations can be made in Keiths memory in aid of the Edinburgh LGBT Health and Wellbeing Centre. Charity number - SC034216.

Keith was born on 1st November 1973 at Queens Park Hospital, Blackburn and has a brother, Nigel, who was born in 1971.
When he was 5yrs old he went to a primary school in Blackburn. A few years later the family moved to Romiley which was the first of four family moves which became a significant feature of his formative years.
The final move was to Broadstairs in Kent. By now Keith was 14 yrs old and after secondary school went on to Thanet Technical College to study for a BTEC in Business Studies. He then extended his business studies at Plymouth University with a BA in 1996.
For the next 6yrs he had a variety of jobs but none really satisfied him.
In 2002 he returned home to Broastairs and for 2yrs studied aromatherapy, body massage and reflexology.
Keith joined the American Steiner Line as an aromatherapist on their West Coast and Caribbean cruise ships.
Unfortunately after 2 months Keith returned to the UK and he moved to Edinburgh and joined NHS National Services Scotland, working in their IT data departments.
He then bought a flat in Corstorphine, taught himself cooking and gardening and enjoyed many hobbies, including Scottish Country dancing and Badminton.
He made numerous friends and decided to stay in Edinburgh, occasionally visiting home in Kent.

I would like to thank all Keith's friends who unselfishly supported Keith as he struggled to accept his problems. I am sorry Keith that I couldn't help you in your time of crisis. I am sure you are now at peace. I miss you and will never forget you. We all loved you. Dad
