Eric Hooper, dearly loved husband to Hazel, wonderful father to three, grandfather and great grandfather from Sherborne in Dorset has passed away at the age of 81. Eric was a licensed aircraft engineer for most of his working life and having joined the RAF at the age of 17 went on to serve for 23 years. He then transitioned to “civvy street” continuing his career at Gatwick and Stansted Airports before finally retiring in his late sixties. Eric was a supporter of the beautiful game and had a keen interest in the Gunners. He will be sorely missed by all.

Ross and Jan Walker donated in memory of Eric

In memory of a good friend and neighbour. Eric was a kind and decent man, and he will be sorely missed.

You were an incredible Grandad who supported us in everything we did. We are both so proud to call you our grandad. You taught us so much & we will be forever grateful. You kept fighting until the end, it's time to put your feet up & rest now. We both miss you so much. Love Ben & Brad x
