Mike became a good friend of mine from the early eighties when he repaired my first Ham radio and guided my first steps into the hobby.

Since then we had remained friends and often times when I would consult Mike on matters of electronic repair. During those times we also shared an interest in keeping old cars in pristine condition and he always commented favourably on my old Ford Cortina 1600E.

When I moved back to Jamaica in 2000 we kept in touch via email and again with the help of Mike's suggestions, I was able to maintain the same old radio that he had previously repaired for me.

Truth be known, there was very little Mike could not repair and that same radio continues to take pride of place on my shelf, a stark reminder of a good friend and an excellent engineer.

I will sadly miss my old friend and will ask that our creator hold him safe in hand and take care of Mike from here on.
