In loving memory of Claire Louise Haynes, who sadly passed away on 2nd December 2017. Claire loved the colour orange and we are encouraging everyone to wear something orange to the service.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers are gratefully welcomed towards 'Macmillan Caring Locally', which can be made through this webpage, or by cheque (made payable to the charity) and sent care of Nicholas O'Hara Funeral Directors.

Claire is a mother of four fantastic children Craig, Kayleigh, Christopher, Keiran and grandmother to Hallie her courageous fight for three years never shedding a tear for herself is an example to us all.

Claire was the very best of us in every way imaginable and we can only strive to live as she would want, with compassion, grace, selflessness and above all love.

We all miss Claire beyond words and take solace in the fact that heaven has gained another Angel whom will be watching over us

Your Loving Husband xx Sleep Well xx

My Dear Claire,

I cannot tell you how much I am missing you. There is such a big void in my life, now that you are no longer here.

You had been an amazing friend to me, always so kind, supportive, giving and unselfish (especially when it came to the choice of which coffee shop we should go to, me being such a fuss-pot!, although you and I shared the love for cheese twists).

We laughed about how I insisted that the children should have at least half an hour of 'fresh air' each day. You found that so funny, yet you caught yourself quoting me on that one once, sending Christopher and Keiran out into the garden. Ever since then, this became our little joke.

I felt that I was never able to thank you enough for the support you had given me, when I needed it, in the tough times I'd had in my life. Every Monday morning - a shoulder to cry on, a pair of ears to listen to and kind words to offer - that was You.

When you got diagnosed, I felt it was my turn to help you, yet I found I was unable to. I felt I could never repay your kindness. You were fighting a bigger beast and I had no armour to defend you against it. I felt so helpless..

I truly admired your courage and determination to fight cancer, and I loved how you kept your sense of humour until the very end.

This had been such an emotional journey for us all - your loving and caring family and friends.

You will always be in my heart and I am sorry we never got a chance to go on a trip to Gunwharf Quays.

All My Love,
Your friend Jeli xxxx

They say school days are the best days of your life! Claire and I became best of friends from the first day she started Highcliffe School. We shared many laughs along the way, I remember her cookery being a funny time when she had made scones and read the recipe wrong, She gladly shared them out with all the boys 😂 . Another was sewing lessons when Claire had pinned the pattern for a waist coat she was making. But when she cut it out,she had cut down what was ment to be a fold, we were in fits of laughter. The day she fell off her bike on the way to school was an awful day , but even though she looked like she had been in ten rounds with Mike Tyson she still laughed. I used to love spending time at the Shewry house, sleep overs were always fun, midnight feasts and sometimes camping in the tent in the garden during the summer. We both shared the same interest s and both became hairdressers ,
my lovely friend Claire sleep well 👼🏼
Much love to Jean, Andy and Family
Debbie Xx

Claire, you're now free from pain and with your lovely dad. Your unfaltering spiritual belief was truly inspirational and I know that you will be looking over your family.

I will miss our spiritual chats and know you will be sending white feathers to us.

Brave, brave woman.

Love and Light Hun. xxx

Finding the right words has always been easy for me but in this instance, I struggle to find them as nothing I write can quite do you the justice or match up to the strength you showed. Claire you are the strongest woman I have ever had the pleasure of having in my life. Thank you for always being you. Thank you for being the best Auntie, for showing me and the entire world that when things get hard you stand and you fight.
Craig, Kayleigh, Jean, Andy, Christopher, Kieran and Hallie, I cannot fathom what you are all going through but please know that i am thinking of you all.
All the love in the world.
Fran
