FThe tide recedes but leaves behind
bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains.....
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains.loral tribute for the winter months ahead, from the family

It is now one year since mom has passed away. Say not in grief she is no more - but live in thankfulness that she was. Hebrew proverb

Funeral Poem for Grandma – read at scattering of ashes on Monday 12 February 2018

Author Unknown: Edited by Granddaughter Gillian Gordon Perue

We can shed tears that she is gone
Or we can smile that she lived

We can close our eyes and pray that she will come back
Or
We can open our eyes and see all that she has left

Our hearts can be empty because we can’t see her
Or
We can be happy tomorrow because of yesterday

We can remember her and only that she is gone
Or we can cherish her memory and let it live on.

Today in the midst of my tears, I will do as she would want:
To smile, open my eyes, to love and go on.
I hope you will join me too.
Love you all.

Gillian

To Grandma words cannot express the loss we feel, you were the matriarch of the family, you set the tone and standards for us to live by. You have taught me so many lessons, that will be remembered for many years to come. Gone but not forgotten love always. From your granddaughter Kadian and Family

A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love is where it all begins,
A love for her children/grandchildren/great grandchildren that will never end,
Whether they’re good or bad,
And even if they’ve made her happy or sad,
Her love and care is what she will always share,
From your young to your grown up years,
And if one day she’s not around,
Don’t just sit around and frown,
Just remember the time and love you both share,
And know that no matter what she’s always there,
To show you love just like the unconditional love
That comes from the lord above.

In memory of Jemima Bennett A special dedication from grandson Carlos Gordon

Grandma gave me this picture and asked me to give it a good “home”. Can’t think of a better home, than sharing with all of you.
