In loving memory of Eileen Margaret Chambers who sadly passed away on 19th December 2017, aged 77 years.
The funeral will be at Garden of England Crematorium (details on this page) and all are welcome. Eileen requested no flowers please but a donation to her favourite charities that are listed opposite and can be made via this site. Thank you in advance.
The reception will be at The Swale Indoor Bowles Club Vicarage Road Sittingbourne ME10 2BL. All are welcome and please join us in celebrating Eileen's life.

This picture was taken in 1989 when an article was written for Medway Health Authority ‘Headway Journal’ about the leg ulcer clinics in Medway that Eileen was the driving force behind. The following year Eileen was the winner of the Nursing Standard nursing award. I was fortunate to work with Eileen from about 1985 and it made me the nurse I am today. I found a kindred spirit In Eileen and she will alway have a special corner in my heart.. Throughout my now forty years of nursing I can hand on heart say she was the most inspirational nurse I have ever met. Her energy and drive to leave no stone unturned never failed to amaze me. Eileen never accepted the words ‘That can’t be done’ Eileen would find a way and prove to her seniors that she was a force to be reckoned with when she believed in something. We laughed a lot and I know how fortunate I am to have had those special years. Lots of love Cilla xxx
