Bajirman Rai (14 Oct 1937 - 10 Jan 2018)
In loving memory of Bajirman Rai who sadly passed away on 10th January 2018.
Bajirman 1937~ 2018, aged 81, passed away on the 10th January at the Royal Infirmary Hospital, Edinburgh, due to pulmonary conditions affecting the blood vessels.
He was born in 14th October 1937 in Bhojpur, Nepal to Rikhimaya and Dil Bahadur and married with Mrs. Krishna Kumari Rai in 1960 according to Nepalese social custom.
He joined the Brigade of Gurkhas in 1952 at an early age of 15 and served in the Corps of Signals, took retirement as a Sergeant and spent his retired life in Boraban, Morang in East Nepal; mostly providing voluntary work for the local village communities. those around him regarded him as a very kind-hearted and cheerful gentleman who favoured life in moderations.
He is survived by his wife and four children, a daughter and three sons.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, family and many friends.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday, 31st January, 2018 at Warriston Crematorium Lorimer Chapel, 36 Warriston Road, Edinburgh. The service will begin at 3:00 pm

I still have a fresh memory of his presence in our neighborhood while I was playing around some 40 years back. The heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives and friends and May his soul rest in peace forever!

We are shocked and saddened and find hard to believe that he is no longer around us. The heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved family, relatives and friends. May the Lord grant strength to those who are bereft and the departed soul rest in peace!
