ursula was born in the croft maternity hospital, sutton road , Kidderminster ,on sunday,3/2/1974 at 10.15 am. she weighed almost 9lb
8oz. when she was a toddler she had the most unruly
curly hair,as it got longer it grew into ringlets, she looked like a little angel. as she got older i nicknamed her bubbles.haha. she and sister rachel, and brother Adam went to st Ambrose's infant an junior school Kidderminster, and attended st. Ambrose catholic church, where rachel and adam made their 1st holy communion. Angela, and janet, their half sisters, used to babysit them when me and their dad went out.in 1980 we moved to ilfracombe, to work at the candar hotel. we lived in a flat above the hotel an ursula, rachel and adam started ilfracombe junior
school.then onto ilfracombe secondary ,its now known as ilfracombe art academy. ursula made her 1st holy communion at our lady, star of the sea catholic church when she was 8 years old, then made her confirmation there,at the same time as her sister and brother.ursula was in the ilfracombe brownies, and i still have her little uniform, then joined the sea cadets with her friend when she was in secondary school, on leaving school she went into catering ,as we all did at one point ,her dad was a chef, i was waitress/Room attendent, her sister,receptionist/barwork,her brother a
waiter /barwork,he also was a model for an ilfracombe hairdresser, travelling to competitions in london, etc. her sister Rachel, went to plymouth to study art and signwriting. ursula aslo modelled sportswear for a cricket magazine. so between the 3 of them ,they were all talented in their own way . she never liked to be too far away ,or for too long from her family. she met the father of her son,in ilfracombe and after some time, they decided to moved to weston super mare an she got a job in a hotel as a room attendent and her partner was in the bar,he also, for a time ,worked as a security guard. they seemed to have a good life while there ,going to silverstone to watch motor racing, trips in helicopters, holidays in spain. she did what young people do,worked and played. she fell pregnant with her son ,michael, and he was born on st. michaels hospital, bristol. on the 4/12/1997. she loved him dearly. her partner, me and her dad took so so many pictures of little baby michael and her, she was so proud. her and michaels dad eventually split up and she came back to ilfracombe, where she lived till her death on, 6/1/2018. ursula had an amazing amount of friends and pen friends, when going through her belongings, i was surprised to see a vast amount of letters from different parts of the world that she had kept , dating from when she was at secondary school an beyond into adulthood. birthday cards, christmas cards that we sent her through the years. its amazing and lovely to think she wanted to keep her family and her son, michael, who she was sooo proud of close, even just with cards.

As I recall the words so far written, I can honestly say that altho it's been 10 months since u left, I still cannot believe it sometimes. It was hard losing dad and other family members, but the feeling of losing a sister is really really hard work at times. Cos altho obviously as siblings we fought sometimes as in who can shout the loudest and who could raise the decibels of the voice to unknown charters of the sound world (funny tho cos very very rare it was physical fisti-pumps haha) I can honestly say my dear sister u won every time in the raising of voices!! Haha...
You know how cars are measured by starting car I.E. 0 to 60 in 5 seconds or something, well if your voice was measured in same way when getting into the row ....ur voice would be normal , through the sound barrier and up the octaves in less than 0 to 1 seconds. Hence why we rarely rowed!!!!!!!!! That gift cos it (was a gift! Haha) of being able to shatter a person's eardrums in less than a second was the reason why!! Oh how we laughed about it then it started to become a family joke...dont row with Ursula if u are keen to keep ur ears intact inside and out!!! Hahaha xx We used to think it was just you that could raise your voice to unknown heights in less than a second , however , we know as a family that that 'gift' has been passed down to Ciarda !!!! Hahaha
" Hail the shriek! And Hail the Scrawl"
Come, scream up the octave and scream to thy y'all!!!'
Hahahahahaha oh wat I would do to just laugh with u now doing that...love and Miss you Ursula soooo much.....your big bird sis Rach xxx

I wrote this for u urs...I hope u like it..

BEAUTIFUL YOU
When you were born in '74
I dont think mom and dad intended on more
For in their arms, the angels did place,
The most beautiful girl with the smiliest face!

When they came home with you all wrapped up tight...
Adam,Angie n me grinned with delight,
As they placed you down for us all to see,
The most beautiful girl that just 'oozed' heavenly...

And as you grew into toddler years..
But not without the odd spat! And a few tears...
It was plain for us all to gaze upon u
With blonde ringlet locks and big eyes sparkly blue!!

We spent many a day in our garden back home...
Me,you Adam and our Angie......even the gnomes!!
All innocently playing with the chickens and more..
Until little Adam decided....to nail 'shut' the coupe door!!!....

Trips to the 'Crooked House', Safari Parks and much more
Did our dear parents provide us galore!
And although a family of financial secure...we were not!!!
Our parents however, 'happy times', 'love'
In abundance we got!!

Just silly memories each of us hold
That binds us, glues us to our family of gold,
From the family we were,
To the family today
Our ' Beautiful You' ; a big part ; you did play!
***********
Written for you, Urs...
With my love and much more

Think of u every day, first thing in morn and last thing at night.
I cherish ur photo ( As ur next to the tele so it's like we're actually talking face to face about day to day things or I'm getting u to agree to the latest docu I'm moaning about!! Lol xx lol ) either way, along with everything else from the white feathers u leave for me to pick up to let me know ur here, ur ok and that I'm not alone in the dark when times are bleak. I look at ur photo and in an instant I'm smiling being reminded of u, ur warmth, your smile, your love as always given unconditionally. Thank u Ursula for so many things especially just u being u, you made me smile, you made me scream on many a time even shed the odd tear or two, but I am honoured to have been ur sister even tho i may not have shown it sometimes. But i was and i am prouder than ever to have been there from the start! From the flumps, through the thumps !! Hahaha may u find peace urs and plenty of heavenly laughter with everyone else to whom you join upon those heavenly clouds and heavens garden of Rose's...I'll see you one day urs...ur sister ..Rachel..love u sweetie....xx
