Family Action Medway donated £70 in memory of Susan

Susy's work family at Medway have been shocked and bereft at Susy’s passing. She had a bright future ahead.

Susy joined Family Action in August 2015 as Administrator for the Perinatal Service.

Susy was ‘the glue that held us together’ - this really is no exaggeration; she made our office ‘a home’ and really looked after us all!
Susy knew when you were due in the office or perhaps spot you parking your car and ensure a hot cuppa was on your desk when you stepped through the door. If you arrived at work but forgotten to bring lunch, Susy would pull out her bag full of ‘emergency’ soups, noodles, porridge, crisps and snacks to save the day!

Susy always made time for people and was a huge source of support to us in Perinatal as well as the wider team at Medway. During tricky times, Susy would find ingenious ways to help you feel better, maybe with a mystery gift in the post, or your favourite snack would ‘magically’ appear on your desk, or you’d receive a wise or inspirational text - a personal favourite being ‘You are not required to set yourself on fire to warm others’

Since her passing, through discussion we have discovered that she applied these special personal touches to all of us - making us all feel important and needed! She knew everybody’s likes, our dislikes and really was the heart of our team.

Susy was so valued, so loved and whilst our work will never feel quite the same again, Susy would never have wanted it to stop. So, slowly, we regroup, we rebuild and continue as a tribute to her.
Susy Brockman - Permanently in need of tea and cake. (Permanently missed by those lucky enough to have known her)

Dear Susy,
I can't believe you have been taken, far, far too soon. I shall always treasure the memories of you as we grew up, and remember your lovely smile as you waved me round to the next stop on the bus. Blue Pearl shall always make me smile and think of you (and now Baggy Trousers!).
Love to Charlie, Dave, and all the family now, and the years ahead. Sleep tight. Xxx

Dear Susy, I only got to know you recently through the peer support training, but I got to know one of the kindest ladies with a very big heart. Only saw the good in other people and always saw the positive in every situation. When the world needs more people like Susy, you will be deeply missed. xx

Lovely, caring Susy. I will miss our daily chats and giggles on the playground, in the parks, girly nights stolen away. I am proud to have called you my friend. Our thoughts are with Dave and Charlie in the times ahead. Susy, the best mummy Charlie could have had!

Susy spoke so passionately about the work she did. What an amazing lady. She'll be remembered as fun-loving, always wanting to do her absolute best for her baby boy and for our fabulous (and sometimes cheeky) F1 chats!

I am so shocked at the news of Susy's passing. Such a lovely lady with a heart of gold. Many is the time we had a giggle while working at the Council. My heart aches for Dave and Charlie, that she has been taken too soon. Fly high with the angels my lovely. xxx
