In loving memory of Carol Ann Buckingham who sadly passed away on 24th February 2018.

Carol was a loving Wife, Mum, Nanny, Mother in-law, Sister, Aunty, Niece and Friend.

Carol was born on 12th June 1951 in Bermondsey, her parents were John and Louise Taylor, she was one of eleven children. Carol met Brian and was married on the 12th November 1972 in Lewisham. They had their only child in the April of 1973 whilst living in Blackheath. A move to the then new town of Basildon for a couple of years did not suit the family and this resulted in a move back to Bermondsey where she spent over 30 happy years. Her working life included being a cleaner, a home help and she even worked in a smurf factory which she enjoyed telling her grandchildren about. Grandchildren arrived in the years 2001 and 2003 and these became a very important part of her life, looking after them in their early years and constantly wanting to speak and be with them as much as she could. Her later life saw Carol and Brian move to Bexleyheath after toying with the idea of moving abroad. In the last 2 years they chose to move to Hoo in Kent where they were lucky enough to be with close friends from Bermondsey again.

For everybody that ever met Carol, they will know that she was always full of energy and could always be counted on to be there for them. Whether this be for advice, a cry, a hug, a laugh or even a telling off if needed. Her laugh was infectious, this usually culminated in a snort and tears of laughter, this would make her and everyone else laugh more.

Carol will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

God bless

My lovely Sister who only ever thought of everybody else before she thought of herself. She was always there for all of us. And 'Yes' she had a unique laugh which was infectious and made everybody else laugh with her. I will miss her everyday until I see her again. Hope she is laughing now and is with Michael, Tony, Kathy, Frank and Mum and Dad. xxx
