In loving memory of, Elizabeth Joan Halkett (Liz) who sadly passed away on 6th March 2018.

Wife to her adoring husband, Simon; mother to Leigh, Christopher and Gemma; and grandmother to Ella. Liz unfortunately passed after a very short battle with thyroid cancer, with her family by her side and her favourite music playing, at Poole General Hospital. The diagnosis came as a very sudden shock to everyone involved, but Liz's dignity, composure and consideration of others during this time was testament to her unwavering resilient and caring character.

We would like to invite those friends and family whom Liz held so dear, if able to, attend a celebration of her life on Monday 26th March, at 13.30, Poole Crematorium. Following the service, there will be refreshments at the St. Leonards Hotel and then for those that can make it, further drinks at our home in Verwood, Dorset.

We politely request that there are only family flowers at the service. For those of you who wish to make a donation in memory of Liz you can do so via this page in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Your donations would go some way to help those suffering from cancer, by supporting the incredible work their nurses do.

Details for St.Leonards Hotel are available on the following link. There is free public parking on site. There is also a Travelodge directly opposite on the A31.

Dear Liz
how can I find the words to say ..
To tell of how I miss you
throughout each and every day.

I’ll miss our little talks
the way we'd chat away
And how we'd cheer each other up
when we were far away

Living life without you
is incredibly hard to bear ..
And I’d give all I have
to wake and see
you standing there.

Love Di xxx

Still finding it very hard to get my head round this, a stalwart friend since around 1985, an abiding friendship, and a huge gaping hole now, my heart aches for all the family, and for us your friends, the world is most certainly a poorer place without you Liz.
