In loving memory of NOEL JOSEPH WALSH who sadly passed away on 4th March 2018

Noel, my dad, was such a kind and caring man. So many people knew him and loved him for who he was. He was a proud man of smart appearance at all times, very handsome and dapper. He had such a big heart and was loyal through and through, he would do anything he could for anybody in need.

I know he would love for as many people as possible to come and give him a good farewell, so all are welcome to pay respects and love to him.

To my darling brother,
How hard this is and something we never thought we would have to do so soon. It is never easy to watch someone as the realisation sinks in as to what’s to come, especially when it is someone you love.
I was so happy to see you again in 2009 in your new home, and from then on we had the best years together. I remember meeting Charlie as a little puppy, getting to know him and taking him out for long walks almost everyday. The times we would talk all night about growing up as brother and sister will stay forever in my heart. I have all of our memories we’ve had and they will never fade.

Love you my special Brother, from your sister Tina

One day I will see you again and have many more years with you.

  • So heartfelt Tina. It must be so hard for you as you were used to being there for him every day. He is always with you and loves all for all that you did for him and will be watching over you all the time xx

The pain of what has happened will not go, it may not ease, but will remain a lesson to all. Life is too short, Noel knew that, and that’s why he lived doing what he wanted to do. He wanted to be generous, so he was, even when he couldn’t. He was always kind, but was strong when he needed to be. He was always up for a laugh and knew all the right jokes to tell. Those are the happy times to remember, and should be held above the sad, because that’s what Noel would want and is what he always wanted.
As an Uncle I can say a lot, but can’t put it all into words. But one thing I will always remember is a lesson I feel he taught me. Every time I would see him, from when I was little, he would give me some coins. Sometimes it was more, sometimes less, but it was always some value of money. Because the value was always different, I realised it’s not about how much you give, it’s about giving with what you can. It is the sentiment of giving and the thought behind it. My Uncle Noel helped me realise how important it is to care for others, and to always give what I can to show I care. For that I thank him and it’s something I will always remember him by for the kind and thoughtful man he was.

Love you always Uncle Noel, you will be missed.

Poem for Noel

Feel no guilt in laughter
Feel no guilt in laughter, he’d know how much you care.
Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to.
He’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.
Let memories surround you, a word someone may say
Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day,
That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that he is always near.
For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart
And he will live forever locked safely within your heart.

My Dad,
He was such a handsome man with a beautiful soul. I will forever remember his stories and jokes that he would sit and tell me. I will always remember the kind and caring heart he had towards others, he wanted to help anyone he could in any way he could. I will always try to keep dad alive in everything I do and treat people with the love and compassion that he did every day.
My relationship with dad was never an easy one but over the last few years we grew so much closer and built up such a close bond. I love him so much and my heart will always miss him and always be a little more broken now without him gone. I know he will always be with me and all of us though.

Our angel
My Daddy
I love you always xxxxx

Our Dearest Brother Noel.
You were our kind, funny, compassionate, forgiving, clever, charming and handsome big brother. Too soon to be taken from us.
You were truly a one off and unique just like the tattoo's on your arm's 'Born In Hackney - Made in Bethnal Green' the latter representing 'Daneford Boys School' he attended in the 70's. It was known to be a tough east end school and Noel always said it either made you or broke you and he credited the school with being the making of him.
The one thing we all have in common is our love of music which we inherited from our Mother. We would spend most of time when we got together talking about music from all genre's. Your other love was literature especially James Joyce, you tried time and time again to explain 'Ulysses' to us, to no avail!! You also knew your history very well and loved nothing more than a good debate over a pint.
We will all miss you so much but knowing you are now with our Mother, Nanny, Geraldine and other family members who loved you as much as we do brings us some peace as this sad time.
Until we meet again enjoy dancing and singing with the Angels.
Love always
Susan, Roy & Debbie XXX
