It is with deep sadness that I have heard the news about Bob's passing today. As an old friend of my father's Bob was always a feature in my life throughout my childhood and into becoming an adult. My father has never stopped telling my brother and I about the wonderful bike rides Bob and he had up into the Peak District, and the antics they got up to as teenagers/young men!
It was an extreme pleasure to see Bob a couple of years ago, on one of his many surprise visits to my father. I think Bob was also surprised as I was heavily pregnant with my first child at the time! Always such a lovely man with a warm heart and genuine smile.
My thoughts are with Norma and his family.
