In loving memory of Patrick Terence Andrew Fowler, 'Terry' who sadly passed away on Sunday 18th March 2018, aged 72 years. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

Terry was a loving and committed husband to Hazel. Father to Natalie, Karen, Kevin and Karl who knew they could rely on him for support and words of wisdom whenever they needed it. Granddad to ten, great-granddad to three, he was at his happiest surrounded by family and will be fondly remembered watching 'The Chase' with Hazel.

Youngest sibling of four, to John, Frank and the late Gerard Fowler. Brother-in-law to Ellen, Pauline and the late Honor and Uncle to many. Although he spent many years of his life living in the south of England he never forgot his Northern roots.

Throughout his life, Terry made many friends, who will have many happy memories and stories of times spent with him. Please feel free to share any of these on the page along with any photos.

Please use this page to celebrate and commemorate Terry's life. Share memories, photos and stories about him or write about your relationship with him. This page is for family and friends to return to whenever they want to add thoughts about Terry or to just look through what others have shared about him. We hope it can be both a place that will make people smile and provide comfort in times of sadness.

We ask that only family send flowers to Terry's funeral. Terry was committed to helping those in need and we would like to honour this by asking for donations in the place of flowers. Donations can be made to either 'Dementia UK' or 'British Lung Foundation' via this page, two charities close to Terry's heart. Alternatively donations can be made c/o John Weir Funeral Directors,
130-132 High Street,
Rainham,

It’s been 5 years since I last held your hand and said goodbye, I still miss you so much. Everyone is doing well, including mum, she still talks of you, especially when the great grandchildren are around, she knows how much you loved to see the little ones play 🥰 xx I still think of you and how you had time for everyone, listened to us all and gave your advice, I hope we’re all living up to your expectations. I miss you so much, but know that you are resting in peace, love you always, love you more ❤️x

Mum talks to you often as well, she still complains you don’t answer her though, 😂, but she’s doing ok, she’s asks about you a lot.
I know everyone still misses you a lot and you would be so proud of them all, all the grandchildren working, 2 even doing apprenticeships.
I know you’re watching over us all, we’ll raise a glass to you later, miss you always, love you more ❣️

3 years ago, I held your hand for the last time and kissed you goodbye, I wanted to be there for you at the end, as you had been for me as I grew up. I couldn’t have asked for a better man to step into my dads shoes, you were always there when I needed you, kind, patient, understanding and loving. I still miss you every day, but I know you’re looking down and keeping watch as you always did. Miss you always, love you more ❣️

Happy Birthday grandad, missing you more than usual today. Mollie is growing up so fast, she is so strong willed and knows her own mind - just like you knew she would be. And she loves being a big sister to Daisy, she is caring and kind to her and so protective, you’d be proud. It makes me sad that Daisy will not get to meet you, but I talk about you and she will know what an amazing man, grandad and great grandad you were. Love you loads grandad xx

Happy Birthday Papa T. I still remember the first time I met you (under sad circumstances). You cracked open your bottle of Scotch (the expensive one too!) gave me a “northern measure” (which was 3/4 of your crystal tumbler with your name engraved on it), made me sit in your chair and made me feel at ease. You’d always ask how my Nan was doing and never forgot her name.

I never had a Grandad but truly felt you were mine in some way. You nagged me about joining a union at work (I took your advice and I’m glad), to the point I want to enter the nominations for union rep. We talked about the girls and never thought I’d see the day a Great Grandad would battle through pain to get down on all fours and play with his great grandaughter.

You asked me to do something for you when you were in hospital and I hope I’m doing it to your standards! Don’t worry I’ll make sure Mollie and Daisy tell the people who upset them that you and then tell them to bugger off! 😂 Love you Papa T, thank you for being my Grandad too. Rest In Power (we all k ow he’s running the show up there now 😂) xxx

Happy birthday grandad. Doesn’t get any easier you being gone and I miss you every day.
We sang happy birthday to you today, Amelia insisted we did. She talks about you all the time and wants to FaceTime you! She’s promised to tell her baby sister all about you when she’s born in July.
Hope you are in peace and watching down on us all like you promised, love you so much!
