In loving memory of Paul James Hipkiss who sadly passed away on 12th April 2018

Paul was born on 10th September 1974 in Birmingham, Dudley Road Hospital

A lover of music, primarily rock, anything from Iron Maiden to the Macc Ladds and beyond.
This showed in his passion for setting up rock nights at pubs he frequented, to then being a dj, although a cheesy one at that

He was a well liked person, as evidenced by genuine and heartfelt messages received by us, his family

He was very intelligent, usually thinking up some scheme or other to make money, also wanting to start his own dj company

Paul was a lovable rogue, but would help anyone he could with what he had and this is what we hope he'll be remembered for

Rest in Peace Paul, Fly High

There will be a donation box available on the day, outside of the chapel.

Paul, every time we got together was like no time had passed, yet losing you leaves regret for not making it more often. You were always a good friend and we shared so many interests. Wish I could have played one more gig for you. Sleep well my friend, I'll miss you.

I have known Paul since I was little as I went to school with Emma but my best memories of him are when he and I were together when I was 16. He was such a loving, kind man who made me feel special. We continued to be friends and I thank him for that. He was there for me again when Alistair died 5 years ago and we grew close again and whilst he lived in Sneiton I helped him as much as i could. I am going to miss him so much and I hope he is rocking Heaven hard xx R.I.P darling love you xxx

Paul and I met 11 years ago on my 20th birthday. He came into my life wearing a superman t-shirt and I knew we would get on famously from then. From weekly geek outs, music quizzes and generally just winding each other up we became the greatest of friends. I still don't think he ever forgave me for making him like Glee, especially as it didn't exactly go with his rock man image. But I didn't care, we laughed till we cried and was there though the hard times too. I miss him dearly xxx
And just so you know Paul I'm still mad at you for leaving xx

Thanks for the laughs and nights out when I lived in Netherfield when times were happy and we only cared what band was on at Rock City and if we could afford to get home!
A happier place you are definitely in now. I’m glad Facebook came along and we reconnected over the miles.
RIP chum, keep rockin’
