In loving memory of John Nicholson who sadly passed away on 16th May 2018 after a long illness bravely borne. Rather than flowers at the funeral we ask that if you feel you want to, you give a donation to Prostate Cancer UK so that others may not have to suffer as he did. Thank you.

John was a very active member of St Etheldreda`s Church in Hatfield serving on the PCC, as well as being Tower Captain and Treasurer. He also cofounded the Church printing service (STEPS) which has contributed over £40,000 to church funds since its inception. I worked with John at STEPS until he moved to Lincolnshire. I always found him very enthusiastic and very cheerful. It was with great sadness that I heard of his death.

John was a devoted husband to Barbara and a wonderful Father to his two daughters Claire and Dawn and their families. Also a cherished Grandfather to his two grandchildren Matilde and Antoinne. He was a loyal friend to all his other relatives and to all who knew him. At peace now, John. Our thoughts are with Barbara who cared for him vigilantly during the last few years of this illness and during the move to their new home and his passing. John will be solely missed by his Brother Richard and Sister-in-Law Bonnie xx.

When John was Treasurer at St Etheldreda`s church in Hatfield it was decided by the PCC to set up a church printing service. John was the organiser of this activity with me helping out and since it`s inception STEPS has contributed over £40000 to church funds. It`s thanks to John who initiated it that this organisation is still operating successfully.
