In loving memory of Carolyn Jayne Smith who sadly passed away on 10th June 2018.
On behalf of my Mom I'd like to invite you all to attend a celebration of her life. The service will be on Friday 29th June, 10am at Yardley Crematorium.
She wanted family flowers only, but if you wish to make a donation in her name, it would be much appreciated. The charities she chose are St Mary's Hospice, Moseley, who offered us so much help and support in her final weeks; and the PDSA.
Cal requested that we all wear cheery clothes! However if you prefer darker traditional colours then please feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
There will be refreshments afterwards and a lunch buffet at the Olton Tavern, Solihull. It would be lovely if you'd all join us to raise a glass (or two!) to Mom and to share stories. Cal also arranged a small token of appreciation for you all, so there will be wine to take home and 'have a drink on her!' There will also be a box of memorial cards on which you're all free to leave a message or to share a favourite memory.
She was keen for us all to celebrate her life so please join us to give her a send off to be proud of! Xx

Heaven has acquired an angel and another star to brighten up dark nights and light up hearts with the many memories Cal has left behind. She was a beautiful person inside and out and remained positive through all of life's challenges and her final journey. So honoured to have such an inspirational person touch our lives and and will keep her light shining through the many stories we can share. We laughed so hard the last time we met and shed more than a few tears at her loss, but her pain is over and I am sure that she will have an army of people waiting to embrace her on the other side. God rest and God bless, you had a 1 in a million mom and nan, you've done her so proud Bex....courageous and brave...chip off the not so old block xxx

Carolyn was more than just a friend, she was an inspiration. She saw the brighter side of everything and had an amazing amount of strength especially in the last couple of months. She was so proud of her beautiful family, it was always top topic when speaking to her. I loved hearing the stories about them, how they all have that fantastic dry humour. I’m just so sad she’s been taken away from them so soon. Going to miss her like crazy. I’ll make sure Ripley knows who she was and what an amazing woman she was too. xxx
